Indica/ Hybrid strains that are resilient in cold weather

A customer has a question or concerns and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks.

Its winter in New England, and I keep the “grow room” at 76F. I was trying to germinate the White Widow in Jiffy Peat Pellets and noticed nothing was “popping” up after a week. Then I placed the pellet tray on top of a heating pad and “bingo”.

Are there Indica/hybrid strains that are more tolerant of cool climates or indoor growing environments?

Indica’s are definitely more accepting of cooler weather since they are a mountain strain. I do not have this issue, so I cannot really elaborate.

As far as germination; You should always use a heating mat.

All the afganistan- pakistan landraces are very very hardy plants…
But I grew Gold leaf in horrible conditions this year and it finished great so I would recommend Gold leaf
