I have always used white distilled vinegar for pHing. Plants love it. You have to sneak up on it, but I’ve only gone too far once and a tiny bit of baking soda fixed that. About one teaspoon full per gallon does it for me.
Is that the grandma version of twerking.
Very cool I am hoping that a drip system will not be needed but the more I think about it the more I am leaning toward doin one with the drums
Do I need to worry about anything growing in the water while it sits in the drum? Like algae or any bacteria or anything?
Use a dark color drum any light that enters container will possibly cause a alge situation
Also make sure res is sealed when not being filled
I use a blumat watering system
They work great just a bit of a pain to dial in but work well once set up @Growit

Just about every house in England uses an attic cistern, just as described. I think you have to keep it covered and dark and algae will not grow. You could use a toilet valve and float to keep it refilled, but you should actually fill it manually and adjust the pH.
Right on @Countryboyjvd1971 very cool system and thanks for the algae info
And thanks @1BigFella I was considering a set up as you described I have some stands that are at the highest point of my out door space. I am gonna start a thread under The Grow site section too with pics and basic plan for the space
More pics
Moved the green house to the other side of my yard and filled bottom with mulch hoping for a moisture retention insulation. Here are some more pics
That is bad a**!
They will over take those other plants tho lol. You’ll have to move them outside most likely.
Those greenhouses are pretty cool. Do you mind asking the price tag for one of those?
Hello @Growit,
This is my first time stopping by your thread and man I love it! I been growing indoors for awhile now but I wanted to take a stab at some green house grows! Mine is not as sophisticated as yours…
I haven’t gotten anything in it yet but I do have an extension cord going in there. I wasnt going to hang any lights and just grow auto flowers in there.
Got any pointers??
@TDubWilly that’s a nice greenhouse and perfect for my house. If I ever decide to grow something outside. I would get this. If they ship to AK…
It’s Amazon!!! Do they ship there?
@TDubWilly it depends on the item. Usually prime items are good to go. The ones that aren’t prime, item pending, I usually get “this item cannot be shipped to your location”. It also HAS to be distributed by amazon. So it makes it tough on some things.
Dude i love that set up
One day down the road i want to build a proper acrylic or glass green house
Your set up is bad a$& brother love the supplemental lights as well
about 300 usd not sure if I can say where I purchased it on here. I will say it is in the states and caries all “import” stuff. Anyway , I did a lot of research and for me this was best bang for my buck. I bought it to get my feet wet , I was hoping to build a larger green house but to do it the way I want to would be a bit expensive. On top of that I put this thing up in September 2017 , temps got up to 130f so I think it is gonna be too hot for a greenhouse here for summer temp get an easy 115f so can’t even imagine how friggin hot it is gonna be in a greenhouse.
That is what I really want to do with the frosted panels with a wood frame. Thanks. @Countryboyjvd1971
The fixture has really worked out well for the first grow this lil grow is a segway into the big outdoor grow. Big for me anywayand really ambitious too
I am gonna see how this lil green house does this summer. If the temps are able to be managed with in reason. Like if I add a misting system inside with a couple fans. Anything more than that to keep temps down is not worth it to me. So this years outdoor grow is gonna be open air outdoor here is the space.
So I built a fence to keep my dogs , one in particular, out of my grow space.
It will be covered with a shade streched from the fence across to the brick wall
In February or March the Skunks and GL will go here along with 9 other plants.
Strains will be Purple Haze , Super Silver Haze , Northern Lights , Gold Leaf , and Super Skunk
Will start a new thread on the site and progress.
Yeah @MattyBear that is the plan. Planting them now with supplemental light to cary them through till February or March when I plant the rest of my outdoor plants.
The idea is to give them a jump on the season with an extra long vegg period and have monsters by October!
Also being that they are all in different soil this will give me a good idea of which soil I want to go with on the other 9 plants that are going to join these three during the outdoor season
Hey bud what region you in
Unless it very dry i don’t recommend any misters in the green house my concern is mold issues
I would definitely olan on putting a few fans in the there and maybe even a exhaust
Does roof open fir venting ?
The othe espace looks good too brother
