Girl Scout & Gold Leaf!

Glad to have you back bro :sunglasses:
Unfortunately not but for now the chewing has stopped. The badly affected area is still taped up, will take it off soon to check how everythings looking and rebandage again. Woke up for work this morning at 6am to a lovely 34 degrees… Temps like that, that early, should be criminal!

Im only ever at my site of an evening bro, but I’m not too keen on spraying when the temps the next day will reach mid to high 30’s and the plants will be in the blazing sun all day. I know it wouldn’t be an issue with miterid as its mostly neem but I still like to wait for some cooler weather to prevent burning. We’ve had a hot, hot dry summer so far, so not too many chances to spray. Plus it seems to take me atleast an hour to fully spray one plant top to bottom, man its a mission!

I don’t think I posed much of a question  but I’m picking up what your putting down, and I agree and in my experience of it, it only seems to happen to the more compact, bushy plants which tend to let much less light into the lower inner parts of the branches. So as you said, as the sun comes up and sets, these areas are still in mostly darkness, and feel the need to get going with the budding. They do smell extremely good so I’m not complaining
Yep the pests are a hard part of growing outdoors, not much you can do besides spray them away! Thanks for the good vibes brother, I’m sure my girls will be feeling them, I bet they even perk up tomorrow from it!

@BondPacker you lucky dog 34 f … iam sitting at -51 F .want to trade lol.

-51F? you gotta be kidding, now thats criminal! When i say 34 degrees I’m talking celsius, today we had 43 on the verandah at home so 110 F… It was a foul heat but I think id rather that than -51f!

Gave gumby her first all over spray today with mighty wash (its bloody good stuff). Besides the 3 mites i found the other day which prompted me to spray, I found none at all on her today so good news all round. Going to have to do some work on them soon, upper branches are strong but the lower two branches are weak when wet so been prying them up with Y sticks. Once flowering kicks in they’re gonna get real heavy so gonna have to put a bit of work into a support system all round.

You can tie lower branches up to the main stalk. I usually use cut up pantyhose so it won’t cut into the plant.
