First Attempt, Looooong grow. Bonsai plants? Deplorables Kush ;)

@Covertgrower Tru dat! lol

@Whodat66 Can’t wait to see your harvest! Although I’m not a big fan of the chopping down process - probably because I’m from Oregon

My “harvest” will be more like a nice tasting for my friends, with a little stash for me - no worries. If I get an oz I’ll be surprised. It’ll be close to that though.

These are of Melania, and the weather is mostly cloudy!!

And I think Ivanka get’s the chopping block sooner. Better pic of the trichomes. Amber.

@Whodat66 I decided to name the lesser-known custom strain the Eclipse Kush!

The one flower I snipped yesterday in honor of the eclipse should be dried and cured by my birthday in early October

So I had an idea, based on facts that are out there. I am snipping the rest of Ivanka’s flowers tomorrow. Since plants gain energy during the day, then use it at night, I removed every fan leaf that had a visible stem (right before lights out). I figure, why waste the energy on something I’m going to trim in the morning? Also will add a little stress?

@Whodat66 I dont know if it will work, but it seems to make sense to me! The way I see it, it couldn’t hurt. I’ll keep this in mind.

I’m sure it won’t do much, but it WAS very easy to prune the leaves while it was still potted. Had both hands to work with.

So this was 15g trimmed, wet. My “eclipse” flower has been drying for a few days and due to size might not take a week. Might be a quarter-bag dried HA

THIS is the result of earlier gnat problem (and others) - there are literally no roots. Poor girl.

So with about a week left for Melania, any advice since the roots are probably in the same shape? @Nug-bug, @Majiktoker, @Hogmaster?

This late all there is, is to lay back and let her finish. At least you made it to harvest! Next grow will be way better for you, especially with the knowledge that you’ve gained

I figure in a week, there are 2 to 3 feedings left, so there might be something I can add to boost nutrient absorption for that week? Yeah, I know it’s late, but for me this has been a fun thing.

Since Melania is fatter on each flower, and hasn’t been pruned, I expect much better yield per flower. I think I am looking at just under an oz cured for what has basically been a couple of finicky, needy houseplants.

Oh, and the re-veg thing? That is just going to be setting it outside with my herbs and stuff to see what happens. Not putting electricity into it unless I start to see a result.

Well most folks don’t give anything the last couple of weeks, so the plant will cannibalize itself. This drains what nutrients are left in plant ,to reduce harsh chemically taste in ya smoke.
Some people do give black strap molasses, as a sweetener buthe have been many debates in its effectiveness

HA! Dude, a harsh chemical taste will be wonderfull if it comes with a good buzz  I’ll cough to get-off and enjoy every minute

Getting serious about the next one

I think she likes getting all the attention. About 20% red hairs, so she is progressing along the 8week timeline.

So todays update is that I got some blood meal and bone meal to go in my soil, and ordered these amenities as well.

In the stuff that pops up I saw “gold panning paydirt” … “ore rich” 'gold added!" ~smh But someone is making money off of the “bycatch”, so YAY Capitalism!

Capture

So with the soil, blood meal and bone meal (already had Epsom Salt) it’ll be right at $100 I have spent on soil. I do think this will be enough for several grows though.

And now for some education for me, and hopefully information for others - and some bud porn!
This is the progression of the largest cola on Milania, kind of cool.

And now for my education - How close am I on my estimates in your professional opinion? I will harvest each one separately if needed, but want to see how close I am on estimating the red pistils.

Input appreciated.

I think your estimates are pretty close. But then again, this is from someone who has no experience whatsoever.
$100 on soil? That’s easy, shipping all the way here, that’s what it cost to fill all of my pots plus a little more… This doesn’t include fertilizers… (shh! Don’t tell my wife!)
