Do I separate the male and female plants to prevent pollination?

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

“Hello, I purchased some seed this spring, in the past I have had very good luck, however, this year I only got 80% germination and 50% male plats from feminized seed. My question is do I separate the male and female plants to prevent pollination? And do I harvest male flowers at the same time as female?”

did you get them from ILGM this is my first year growing I planted 12 feminized seeds so far all germinated and all females stress can turn them hermaphrodite if you don’t want seeds in your ladies then you need to separate them I personally would get rid of the males there almost certainty going to pollinate your girls if there close by :v:

Kinda like I was in my early years. Males can pollinate whatever they can from upto a mile away. Even neighbors can mess your grow up

A good rule of thumb is 5 miles… anything within 5 miles can ruin your crop… male’s aren’t worth your time or money to grow unless your a breeder… :wink:
I would kill them… :smiling_imp::smiling_imp:
