I’m trying to figure out what is the best option for my veg only tent 80cm (2.8ft) x 80cm (2.8ft)

2x MEIZHI or VIPARSPECTRA 300w
vs
1x MEIZHI or VIPARSPECTRA 600w

or would a diy cob be better suited…

my budget is around £150 ($200) and if that’s not enough for led i’ll stick to Metal halides for now lol

any help would be appreciated

You could get the 2-300 for great coverage. I would get them over the 600

yeah i was thinking that but will that still be enough for strong veg cycle in my space?. cheers

You have to look at the real wattage, not some phony marketing number. I see on Amazon the VIPARSPECTRA 300w draws only 136 watts. Two of those would give you 34.7 watts per square foot, which would be enough to veg, but not very good for flowering.

Do you have source for reasonably priced cobs and drivers? Having to get them from the U.S. would probably be too expensive.
